PR for Pfizer’s anti-smoking drug
Pfizer is gearing up for the launch of its anti-smoking drug.
The prescription drug, known as Chantix in the US, is expected to be a blockbuster. It received the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval last month.
PRWeek reports that the company has roped in Edelman to manage communications for the product across the globe, except in the UK, where the mandate would be with Just Health PR.
Till February this year, Chandler Chicco Agency worked on the product.

Just wondering if there would be any big differences between this new drug and the other anti-smoking drugs already in the market. May be it is just the manufacturer's brand name!
Any idea who will handle it in India? I heard Edelman has an alliance in Mumbai. Are you handling it?
Till now the anti-smoking drug market in the US is dominated by OTC products… Chantix is a prescription drug which mimics nicotine in the body.
We are not handling this product. Edelman has a tie-up with R&P Management Communications Pvt. Ltd. Maybe they will manage it.
